Depression-Proof Teen Group

What is it?

Depression-Proof is an 8 week group course for teens who want to learn to effectively combat depression and anxiety. The group is structured on attachment-based research, science and therapy techniques and is both educational and experiential. Each session will include a topic for learning and discussion as well as a therapeutic (put-into-practice) component. Teens will learn to identify, experience, talk about and develop skills to be able to confidently share vulnerable emotion. Research has shown that this is an incredibly effective way to combat depression and are skills that teens can use their whole life! The group is for teens who want to learn life-long skills that will not only help them combat depression and anxiety but also to developing and keeping healthy relationships

 Who is it for?

• All teens ages 14-18 who want to learn effective ways of coping with depressions and anxiety
• No previous therapy experience required
• All teens welcome, including those not currently experiencing depression or anxiety
