Starting Therapy

We’re here to help ease you into the process.

It’s totally normal to feel nervous or anxious about starting therapy, especially if it’s your first time. After all, the therapist-client relationship is really only ever experienced inside the therapy room. It can be a relief to talk to someone about your struggles who doesn’t have a stake in your life and who won’t judge you. It feels healing and rejuvenating to share your struggles with someone who really, genuinely cares about you. Good therapists have an ability to attune with and connect emotionally with others, develop deep empathic bonds, and tirelessly listen to pain and heartache. We want you to know that we understand how hard it can be to open up about the things that are making you hurt, sad, afraid, lonely or frustrated. We also want you to know that we’re here to offer safe and sacred space, support, love and gentle guidance. We thrive on being available to listen and developing the kind of healing, empathic realtionship that enables you to find peace, serentiy and authenicity.

Insurance

Family Strong does not currently participate as a provider for any health insurance plan. Limiting the involvement of health insurance providers allows for greater flexibility and privacy. We do perform services that are coverd by many (not all) carriers which enables you to utilize out-of-network benefits. We can provide proper documentation for these benefits but we encourage you to consult with your insurance provider if you plan on submitting statements for reimbursement.

We are happy to coordinate third-party billing, including LDS Bishops and other religious institutions. We also participate as a provider for Mines and Assoc EAP program.

Payment Policy

Our current policy is that payment is due in-person at the time of each session for every cash client. This includes co-pays. Payments are not due at time of service for third-party billing.

If you are unable to keep an appointment we ask for a minimum of 24 hrs notice for all cancellations. Our policy is to charge the full session amount when notice is given less than 24 hrs prior to a scheduled session. We will make every effort to reschedule your missed appointment with you. The late-cancellation fee is waived when we are able to reschedule your session within the same the same week.
